Keyes Memorial Beach

Hyannis, Barnstable, Massachusetts · Nantucket Sound

Downtown Hyannis's walkable swimming beach

Also known as Sea Street Beach, this is a popular Hyannis beach on Nantucket Sound. Short walk from downtown shops and restaurants. Lifeguards, restrooms, and a solid family beach experience.

Keyes Memorial Beach — most locals still call it Sea Street Beach — is downtown Hyannis's swimming beach, a short walk from Main Street and the ferry terminals. It's compact and busy in summer: a single roped swim zone, lifeguards from late June through Labor Day, a bathhouse with restrooms and outdoor showers, and a small snack option in season. The water is shallow and warm, the waves are tiny, and the JFK Memorial overlook sits just up the road for a quick post-beach walk. Parking is sticker or daily fee ($20), and the lot fills by mid-morning on a sunny weekend — pedicab and bike from downtown is often easier.
