Quiet harbor swim a short walk from downtown Edgartown
A small, calm harbor beach walkable from Edgartown center. Protected water makes it ideal for young swimmers. Not fancy, but the convenience of being steps from town is the draw.
Fuller Street Beach is a sliver of sand on the Edgartown harbor side, accessible by a short walk from downtown along North Water Street. It's not a destination beach in the postcard sense, but it's an everyday favorite of Edgartown families and renters who want a calm-water swim within walking distance of an ice cream cone. The harbor protects the water, so it stays glassy on most summer days; the slope is gentle and the sand is fine. There are no facilities, no lifeguards on most days, no concessions — just a beach and a view of the boats in the inner harbor. Park downtown, walk fifteen minutes north past the Edgartown Yacht Club and the lighthouse, and you're there.
