Yarmouth, Massachusetts · Nantucket Sound
The quieter twin to Seagull Beach
A quieter alternative to the big Yarmouth beaches with powder-soft sand, calm surf, and pretty views of Nantucket Sound. Seawall walkway with bench seating.
Seaview is Seagull's quieter neighbor a quarter-mile east on Nantucket Sound — same powder-soft sand, same warm water, fraction of the crowds. The lot is smaller, the bathhouse modest, and the seawall walkway with bench seating gives the beach a sleepier promenade-village feel. Lifeguards work the central swim area in summer; the surf is gentle to nonexistent, and the swimming slope is gradual enough for younger kids. The best strategy is to use Seaview when Seagull's lot is full — it almost never fills on the same days — or come specifically for a quieter beach day. Shoulder season (early June, early September) is sublime: you'll have a stretch of sound shoreline almost to yourself. Pair with breakfast at Mattakese Wharf cafe in Bass River or sunset drinks at the Smuggler's Beach Tiki Bar across the way.
