Bayview Beach
Dennis, MA

Dennis, Massachusetts · Cape Cod Bay
Dennis's flagship bay beach for families
One of Dennis's best bay beaches with warm, shallow water and a wide sand flat. Named after the corporation that once harvested salt here. Low-key and family-perfect.
Corporation Beach is Dennis's marquee bay-side beach and one of the most family-friendly stretches of sand on Cape Cod. The water is shallow for a long way out, calm, and warm — at high tide on a still August afternoon it could pass for a salt-water swimming pool. The town runs the operation tightly: ample parking lot (sticker required, with a daily-fee option), lifeguards in season, real restrooms, an outdoor shower, a snack bar in summer, and mobi-mat ramps to the sand for accessibility. The name comes from the 19th-century saltworks corporation that once owned this stretch. At low tide a quarter-mile of firm flats appears — kids hunt hermit crabs while parents wade beer-in-hand. Don't underestimate sunset; Corporation faces northwest and gets all of it.
History
Named for the Nobscusset Manufacturing Corporation, a 19th-century saltworks that operated here.
